ABOUT ME

My name is Jamie Slack and I'm a second year Multimedia Journalism student currently studying at the University of Salford's MediaCityUK campus. I'm also the current Media Department Lead for Salford Racing University Race Team for the 2026/27 season, which competes in Formula Student UK at Silverstone every July. I am based in Manchester.

I have a huge passion for the media industry and have completed Newsquest's Young Reporter course and studied media for the last five years, as well as film and English at A-Level when I was at Peter Symonds College, Winchester. So far in my journey I have produced several TV and Radio packages, a music video and short film whilst working with many amazing people and I am excited for more opportunities in the future.

I am an enthusiastic sports fan, with a strong passion for motorsport and Formula 1. The content I have produced on display here is geared around a career in the industry and a display of my love for competition, stories and epic sporting atmospheres. I am also keen on music and entertainment, of which I have written some news articles on.

During my first year of university, I worked with Salford Racing to produce lots of audio and visual content for out social media channels, notably presenting and editing explainer videos and our Car 61 Podcast both. At Silverstone, I was able to achieve a dream of presenting down the pit lane and I am keen to get back and work in the thrill of a racetrack!

I have been lucky enough to attend four F1 British Grand Prix between 2022-25, as well as F1 Belgian Grand Prix, the inaugural Keely Klassic athletics meet and many live music performances.

I am a hard worker and strive for the highest quality content. I love working in a team and engaging with others. I am familiar with Adobe software and have enjoyed my time editing both videos and images as well as filming and photographing.

I hope you enjoy my content and please contact me with any opportunities!
